This doll was made for my daughter who is a Buddhist.
Tara is the "Mother of all the Buddhas"
and the spirit of active compassion.
Zombie of the Roses shows my fascination with duality;
figures which are both good and evil.
Both are needed to present 'reality'.
Roses have thorns. Golliwogs are toys,
until you show their dual nature
and then they become 'other'.
